The Wellbeing Budget for 2019 announced yesterday was hugely encouraging and hopeful news for our country, particularly NZ’s precious tamariki! 

Text Ferret has recently worked with The Office of The Children’s Commissioner helping to uncover the voices of New Zealand’s tamariki. 

In the words of the Children's Commissioner Andrew Becroft in this news clip: “Well we’re told that this budget is explicitly and avowedly prepared through the lens – through the eyes of NZ’s children. That is a terrific, if not spectacular step forward.” Andrew also said “If this is rigorously repeated in years to come, it could be a game-changer for New Zealand's children - that is the hope. If we can mean business about wellbeing, it's got to start with our children and young people”.
